Things are starting to get underway with the Phoenix Wright project. Sheba and I have recorded a few lines together. They're definitely works in progress and they are not perfect. Things are subject to change and, as we don't have the full cast yet, she and I are performing multiple roles. We're basically just trying to get the ball rolling and get a feel for things since neither of us has ever really done voice acting before. Sheba also had her little sister record some lines for Pearl Fey, which she did really well. We are posting some of these runthroughs on my youtube page so feel free to check em' out.

EPIC WIN! XD
This isn't particularly related to the show but don't fucking shoot me for it. Rooster Teeth Productions, creator of the online cultural phenomenon, Red vs Blue and a big inspiration for me as an aspiring filmmaker, has just released the trailer to their follow-up series to Red vs Blue: The Blood Gulch Chronicles entitled Red vs Blue: Reconstruction. The trailer itself is amazing and seems to be taking the series in a more serious direction for this next iteration of the RvB saga. For those of you who have never heard of Red vs Blue, for shame! The series is riotously funny and well written and is something I recommend to most people, Halo fan or not. You don't have to play Halo to understand it, you don't have to play Halo to like it. It's a great show and you should definitely give it a shot.
The show itself is made using a cinematography technique called "Machinima" which involves the use of an in-game video game engine to animate the scenes, in this case using your character to act out the scenes. More info about machinima can be found here if your interested. The trailer for the series can be found here, along with the rest of their work, which I personally feel is worth checking out.

Ace Attorney Updates
We haven't decided on what the title is but the ball is really getting rolling. We have a few production updates, mainly cast information.
- Super Sheba and I will be voicing characters in the show. I'll be voicing the eponymous character, Phoenix Wright while Sheba will be voicing Wright's sidekick, Maya Fey. We'll also be voicing other smaller roles as well.
- Super Sheba's 8 year old sister Mini-Sheba will be voicing Pearl Fey, the 8 year old cousin of Maya Fey from the 2nd and 3rd Ace Attorney games. She's recorded a few test lines and is absolutely perfect for the part.
- Miles Edgeworth and Franziska von Karma's voice actors have already been selected as well, along with a few minor characters.
- While the show is primarily intended to be a radio play, I've called in a flash animator, a good friend of mine, to see if we can turn this into a flash series instead. He'll be doing a few test animations for the show and if they work out well and if we can get a good enough schedule to get everything set up, we will transition the radio play into an actual animated series.

Welcome! Welcome! One and All!
Well, it's up and running. The official MSP Production Blog. Right now, Maverick Studio Productions is little more than a small independent company, based at UC Berkeley, aimed at producing high quality fanworks which, over time I hope can developed into a full fledged production company. There's nothing much in the works right now, save for MSP's first fan-project based on Capcom's Ace Attorney video game series. Right now, the series is still pre-production, with the creative team still deciding on the show's format, with my good friend Super Sheba helping to get things rolling. We're working hard to make sure the show's quality is as high as it can be. Not an easy task with virtually no budget to work with. The show will either be a strictly audio-based radio play or, if a suitable flash animator can be found, a fully voiced flash animation. Some voice actors will be doubling up on roles, so don't be surprised if a few characters sound similar. Again, no budget means we have limited resources but I have a lot of faith in the crew's abilities.About the Show:
The as-of-yet-unnamed Ace Attorney show will be an adaptation of all current games in the series, starting with the first game, Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney. Right now, the production crew is hard at work with the game script, using what we can and changing things to suit the format so don't be surprised if you notice anything similar from the game. This is simply a fan-project, solely for fun and not for profit of any kind.
Why Ace Attorney?
Anybody who's played the Ace Attorney series can tell you what its appeal is. With the internet populated by various Phoenix Wright parody videos, collectively referred to as the Phoenix Wrong series, and getting a chance to actually play the game myself, I had an idea which I presented to Super Sheba and, after a bit of brainstorming, the project was born.
More information will become available as the project gets under way, so stay tuned.
